Saint Panteleimon the Healer, being a court physician, had a high position, but preferred luxury to poverty and treated people free of charge. He devoted his whole life to helping the suffering, the sick and the needy. Returned to the life of a boy who died from a snake bite. Saint Panteleimon has always been revered in Russia as a heavenly healer for mental and physical ailments. The merciful saint did not stop helping people even after his martyr’s demise in 305. Through prayer to him, many healings are still performed throughout the Christian world.
A prayer to the saint is written on the back:
“Ailments to all heal, Panteleimone, a hard sufferer.”
