Terms of participation in pilgrimages

How a place in the group is confirmed, which documents are needed, what to do if you cancel and how we take the health of participants into account.

Request

A place in the group is confirmed after a conversation with the coordinator. For trips abroad (Georgia, Israel, Greece) there is a prepayment of 500 € per person: the payment link comes in the email confirming your place. The rest is paid as agreed with the coordinator.

Payments go to the account of the NIKA association of the disabled. If you pay by bank transfer, state the name and dates of the trip in the payment reference.

Documents

For a pilgrimage to Georgia, citizens of Estonia, stateless persons and Russian citizens living in Estonia need a valid passport that remains valid for at least 6 months. EU citizens do not need a visa for Georgia.

Each participant arranges travel insurance themselves; we can suggest where.

Cancelling a trip

If you cancel in advance, the prepayment is refunded in full, except for ticket costs already incurred.

Health

The programmes include walks, early starts and long transfers. If you have health or mobility limitations, tell the coordinator when you apply: on many trips we can adapt the programme, and the experience of the NIKA association helps us with this.

Conduct in monasteries

We are guests. Clothing, photos and videos follow the rules of each monastery; the coordinator reminds you of them before the visit.

Who organises

Trips are organised by the Andcross pilgrimage centre. Legally the trips are run by the NIKA association of the disabled, registration number 80307400, Tallinn.
