Description

Christ Pantocrator, the Ruler of All, holds the Gospel in His left hand and blesses with His right. It is one of the oldest images of Christ, painted in church domes and placed at the centre of a home icon corner.

The icon measures 21 x 28 cm and is 13 mm thick. A glass-fronted frame keeps dust off the cover; hang it on a wall or stand it in the icon corner. A fitting gift for a baptism, a name day or a housewarming.

The base is brown MDF with 999 silver applied by physical vapour deposition (PVD) and gilded details in the cover. Handmade, following a Byzantine original.
