The icon shows the Holy Family: the Most Holy Mother of God, the Child Jesus and the righteous Joseph the Betrothed. It speaks of love, faithfulness and patience at home and is often given for a wedding or the birth of a child.
Measuring 21 x 28 cm and 13 mm thick, the icon is set in a frame with glass and comes in a gift box. Hang it in a bedroom or living room, or place it in the icon corner.
The base is brown MDF with 999 silver applied by physical vapour deposition (PVD) and gilded details in the cover. Handmade, after a Byzantine original.
