Description
The set holds the two best-known icons of the Mother of God. The Kazan icon was found in Kazan in 1579; the Vladimir icon, by tradition painted by the Evangelist Luke, came from Constantinople in the 12th century. People pray before both for their families, children and peace at home.
Each icon is 6.4 x 5 cm. Place them side by side in an icon corner or on a shelf, or take them on a journey; the pair makes a good gift for parents or a young family.
The colour image is screen-printed on a special alloy base coated with 999 silver by physical vapour deposition (PVD).
