Description
The Kazan icon of the Mother of God was found in Kazan in 1579 by a young girl, Matrona, after the Mother of God appeared to her in a dream. Parents traditionally give this icon to a couple before their wedding, and people pray before it for their families and children.
At 6.4 x 5 cm it suits an icon corner or a bedside table, or can be carried with you. It comes in a gift box.
The colour image is screen-printed on a special alloy base coated with 999 silver by physical vapour deposition (PVD).
