Description
The icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa is kept at the Jasna Gora monastery in Czestochowa, Poland; by tradition it was painted by St Luke the Evangelist. Two scars on the face of the Virgin recall the attack on the monastery in 1430.
At 13 x 18 cm the icon fits a shelf or a prayer corner, and is a thoughtful gift for family.
The base is MDF, with 999 silver applied by physical vapour deposition (PVD). Handmade. Wipe the icon with a dry soft cloth.
