Description
The image recalls the appearances of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, recognised by the Catholic Church. Mary is shown as the children described her, and the rosary echoes her call to pray the Rosary.
The icon measures 6 x 9 cm. Icon and metal rosary are packed together in a red gift box, a fitting present for a first Communion, a confirmation or a name day.
The icon is handmade on an MDF base and coated with 999 silver by physical vapour deposition (PVD). Wipe it with a dry soft cloth, without water.
