Description
The icon shows the Virgin Mary as she appeared in 1917 to three shepherd children, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, in Fatima, Portugal. The apparitions are recognised by the Catholic Church, and Fatima has become one of the most visited places of pilgrimage.
At only 3.7 x 5.5 cm and light in weight, the icon can travel in a bag, stand on a desk or join other icons at home.
The base is MDF, with a 999 silver cover applied by physical vapour deposition (PVD) that resists tarnishing. Handmade and easy to care for: wipe it with a dry soft cloth.
