Description
The icon shows Jesus Christ with His heart aflame and encircled by a crown of thorns, a sign of His love for people and His suffering for them. Devotion to the Sacred Heart spread widely in the Catholic Church after the visions of Sister Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century.
The icon measures 13 x 18 cm. Place it in a prayer corner, on a shelf or a desk, or give it for a wedding or an anniversary.
The base is MDF, with 999 silver applied by physical vapour deposition (PVD). Handmade. Wipe it with a dry soft cloth.
