Description
The holy Great Martyr Panteleimon was a physician in Nicomedia who treated the sick without payment, so the Church calls him an unmercenary saint. He died a martyr for Christ in the early 4th century, and Christians ask his prayers for the health of their loved ones.
The icon measures 21 x 28 cm and is 13 mm thick, a large icon for a home icon corner or a wall. It is often given to doctors and nurses and to those named Panteleimon. Supplied in a gift box.
The base is brown MDF with 999 silver applied by physical vapour deposition (PVD) and gilded details in the cover. Handmade, following a Byzantine original.
