Description

A triptych is a folding icon in three parts. This one brings together the Mother of God, the Lord Jesus Christ and St Nicholas the Wonderworker. Since early times such folding icons have been taken on journeys and kept at home as a small iconostasis.

At 37.4 x 20.7 cm it is a large triptych. It stands on its own or hangs on a wall, and comes in a red gift box, a fine gift for a housewarming or a wedding.

The base is brown MDF and the icons are plated with 999 silver by physical vapour deposition (PVD). Handmade.
