Description
By tradition painted by the Apostle Luke, the Vladimir icon came from Constantinople in the 12th century and takes its name from the city of Vladimir. The Mother of God holds the Christ Child cheek to cheek, a type of icon known as Eleousa, or Tenderness.
At 13 x 18 cm it can be the main icon of a small icon corner or stand on a bedroom shelf. It comes in a gift box, a present for a mother, a godmother or a wedding.
The base is MDF; the cover is coated with 999 silver by physical vapour deposition (PVD) and the image is screen-printed. Wipe the icon with a dry soft cloth.

Beautiful. Be aware that the picture is printed, not painted, and I believe the silver is plated. Anything more would of course be terribly expensive. I'm very happy.
