Description
By tradition the Vladimir icon goes back to an image painted by the Evangelist Luke. The Christ Child presses his cheek to his Mother's face, the tender type called Eleousa. Orthodox Christians pray before it for their families, their children and for peace.
At 8 x 11 cm the icon finds a place on a shelf, by the bed or in a home icon corner. It comes in a gift case, a gentle present for a mother, a grandmother or a godmother.
The base is brown MDF coated with 999 silver by physical vapour deposition (PVD). Handmade. Wipe the cover with a dry soft cloth.
