A Hope the Lord Did Not Put to Shame

The Story of Vano Tsilikashvili · Tbilisi, Georgia

I was given a grave diagnosis: total fibrosis of the bone marrow.

The illness progressed rapidly.

At one point, the doctors had almost lost hope of a favourable outcome.

All that remained was to place my trust in God’s mercy.

Every day, I prayed to the Lord, asked for help through the prayers of Saint Gabriel Urgebadze, and reverently used oil blessed at his resting place.

After several months, my condition began to improve.

In time, my health was restored.

What I experienced greatly strengthened my faith and reminded me that the Lord never abandons those who place their hope in Him.

“Give thanks to the Lord in all things, for His mercy endures for ever.”
