When Despair Gave Way to Hope

The Story of David Chitaia · Ksani Correctional Colony, Georgia

Because of severe inflammation, my leg was in a very serious condition.

Two toes were so badly affected that treatment brought no noticeable improvement.

I asked Vasili Narindoshvili to pray with me.

After the prayer, he anointed the affected area with oil blessed at Saint Gabriel’s resting place, applied a small amount of earth brought from Samtavro, and bandaged my leg.

When I removed the bandage the following morning, I saw that the condition of my leg had changed significantly.

For me, this was a great joy and a testimony to the mercy of God.

“The Lord always hears the sincere prayer of a person who turns to Him in faith.”
