When Surgery Was No Longer Necessary

My mother suffered a severe eye injury.

After examination, a medical panel scheduled surgery.

While waiting for the appointed day, my mother frequently visited the resting place of Saint Gabriel Urgebadze.

She prayed to the Lord, asked for the saint’s intercession, reverently anointed the affected eye with blessed oil, and took a small amount with faith.

Before the operation, repeat examinations were carried out.

To the doctors’ astonishment, the eye had recovered completely.

The operation was no longer necessary.

For our family, this became a great joy and a strengthening of hope in God’s mercy.
