Description
The New Testament of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in Georgian: the Holy Gospels and the writings of the apostles. The cover bears an icon of the Resurrection embossed in copper and coated with 998 silver (0.03 mm) and 999 gold, 24 carat (0.03 mm).
The black leather binding is made by hand in the tradition of Orthodox bookbinding. The book has 640 pages of light yellow paper and measures about 195 x 135 mm, 30 mm thick, for daily reading and prayer at home.
The book is blessed at Samtavro monastery in Mtskheta, where the relics of St Gabriel (Urgebadze) rest. A good gift for Easter, a baptism or a name day.
