Description
This edition of the New Testament in Georgian serves both personal prayer and reading at church services. The brown leather binding is made by hand using traditional Orthodox techniques, and the cover carries a copper-embossed Holy Face, the Saviour Not Made by Hands.
The book measures 195 x 135 mm and is 35 mm thick, with 640 pages in a light yellow, golden tone. It is published as a limited edition.
The New Testament is blessed at Samtavro monastery in Mtskheta, where the relics of St Gabriel (Urgebadze) rest. It is given to godchildren, loved ones and priests who serve and pray in Georgian.
