Description
The front shows the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ with the inscription "King of Glory" above and the word NIKA, Greek for "victory", at the foot. The back carries the short prayer "Save and protect" framed by a grapevine, a reminder of Christ's words "I am the true vine" and of Holy Communion.
It is 33 mm tall and 15 mm wide, with an average weight of about 5.35 g. A small, light cross for everyday wear and a good gift for a baptism, name day or birthday.
965 silver with crisp relief and clear inscriptions. The cross comes with a laminated card, 65 x 95 mm: the front shows the reliquary of St Gabriel of Samtavro (Urgebadze), the back holds a particle of cloth from his relics and a short text in Russian or Georgian.
The cross is consecrated on particles of the relics of St George the Victorious, and the card at the relics of St Gabriel in Samtavro monastery.
