Description
The front shows the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. The back carries the short prayer "Save and protect", traditional on Orthodox crosses, and below it the icon of Our Lady of the Sign with her hands raised in prayer. The icon became famous in Novgorod in the 12th century.
It measures 23 x 45 mm including the loop and weighs about 8.4 g. A medium-size cross for men and women alike, often given for a baptism. Sold without a chain.
