Description
The holy Great Martyr George the Victorious, a 4th-century soldier and martyr, is shown on horseback slaying the dragon. He is venerated as the patron of soldiers, and a set with his icon is a traditional gift for men and for those named George.
The set holds the icon of St George, 12 wax candles with his image and the words "Save and protect", a 70 x 45 mm ceramic candle holder and a prayer book with the Akathist to St George the Victorious. The candles are 195 mm long and 8 mm thick.
The icon is on a wooden base, 90 x 110 mm and 20 mm thick. The set is from the Holy Dormition Pskov-Caves monastery, whose workshops produced the icon; it is blessed and has a workshop certificate.
