Description
St Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra, lived in the 4th century. Known as the Wonderworker, he is the patron of travellers, sailors and children, and his icon is found in almost every Orthodox home.
The set holds the icon of St Nicholas, 12 wax candles with his image and the words "Save and protect", a ceramic candle holder and a prayer book with the Akathist to St Nicholas. The candles are 195 x 8 mm, the holder 70 x 45 mm.
The icon is on a wooden base, 90 x 110 mm and 20 mm thick. The set was put together at the Holy Dormition Pskov-Caves monastery; the icon comes from its workshops, is blessed and supplied with a workshop certificate.
