Description
In Orthodox tradition a Guardian Angel is given to each person at baptism and quietly protects them for life. His icon is placed by a child's bed and given to godchildren for a christening or a name day.
The set holds a 90 x 110 mm icon on a wooden base 20 mm thick, a box of 12 wax candles, 195 x 8 mm, with the image of the Guardian Angel and the words "Save and protect", and a ceramic candle holder, 70 x 45 mm.
The set comes from the Holy Dormition Pskov-Caves monastery: the icon was produced in the monastery workshops, every item was blessed at the monastery, and the icon has a workshop certificate.
