Description
The statue shows Christ on the way to Golgotha, carrying his cross. The scene recalls the Passion of our Lord and speaks especially to believers in the days before Easter.
It stands 28 cm tall to the top of the cross and weighs about 500 g. The cross is removable: it slides out and sits securely in a groove on the back of the shoulder. Place the statue on a shelf, a desk or beside your icons, or give it for Easter or another feast.
The figure is carved by hand from olive wood, a durable wood with a beautiful grain that holds the fine details of the carving well.
