This autumn the Andcross centre takes two groups of pilgrims from Tallinn to Georgia. Both trips have the same main goal: Samtavro monastery in Mtskheta, where the relics of St Gabriel (Urgebadze) rest. We spend two days there to attend the service and to stay at the relics without rushing.

Dates

  • First group: 30 September to 12 October 2026, 13 days. The trip has already taken place.
  • Second group: 17 to 28 October 2026, 12 days. Registration is open on the trip page.

Both groups fly from Tallinn via Tbilisi and are accompanied by a coordinator from Tallinn throughout the trip.

Programme by day

  1. Tallinn - Tbilisi: departure, arrival in Tbilisi, check-in.
  2. Mtskheta, two days: the service and a prayer service at the relics of St Gabriel in Samtavro monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.
  3. Bodbe: the monastery with the relics of St Nino, Equal-to-the-Apostles, the enlightener of Georgia.
  4. Tbilisi: the churches of the old town, Sioni Cathedral, free time.
  5. Borjomi: the last days are for rest and, if you wish, doctors' consultations and check-ups at the sanatorium.
  6. Tbilisi - Tallinn: the flight home.

What is included

The price includes the accompaniment of the coordinator and the programme by day. The flight, insurance and personal expenses are paid separately. A place in the group is confirmed by a prepayment; the payment link comes in the email confirming your place. The conditions are described in the terms of participation.

Prayer notes to the relics

The groups bring prayer notes for the living and the departed to the relics of St Gabriel. If you cannot travel this autumn, you can submit a note on the site: the prayer notes page explains how it is handed to the monastery.
